All fired up and nowhere to go

The traffic seemed particularly bad driving to work this morning, and now I know why, It turns out that my SAAB dealer had a terrible fire in the workshop early this morning, destroying several vehicles and causing considerable damage, this meant traffic had to be diverted to other parts of the city.

Luckily, no one was hurt, but the news is no less devastating.

I don’t suppose we’ll know what will happen next, as there seems little reason for the dealer to rebuild based on SAAB sales or service alone unless their loyal customers stand behind them and show their support.

They have been a highly reputable Hirsch expert for a number of years now; installing ECU upgrades, performance parts and maintaining customers modified SAABs with the upmost care. If this is not revived, I don’t quite know where else customers will take their SAABs for this level of expertise in our county.

I only hope that, after they recover from this devastating blow, they actually do see value in providing much needed SAAB / Hirsch parts and service for the future again. Over the past 20 years or so, they have also become widely known for providing used SAABs of the highest quality for discerning and loyal customers, and long may this continue.

Griffin from the flames. Let’s hope so.
