Saab Spotting

SvsS_Unidentified Flying Saab

I know I’m not alone in my Saab addiction, there must be thousands of us who look out for Saabs wherever they go, on and offline. When I spot an image of a Saab, any Saab, I grab it and add it to my rather large archive, I can’t seem to help myself.

I found this one a while back, I have a feeling I spotted it over on the superb Bestshed but I can’t’ be sure. I’m also not entirely sure if it’s a modified 900 or a first generation 9-3, what I am sure of though, it’s one of the nicest examples I’ve seen floating around and I’d love to know more. I’d also be pretty happy to pick up one and give it the same Saab loving.

Congratulations to one lucky Saab owner.

  1. Saab spotting is very recognizable indeed. And it’s great fun.
I think this Saab is a 900 second generation, judging from the way the badge on the rear is placed. Not many differences between 900 2nd generation and 9-3 first generation on first sight, but overall the 9-3 first generation looks a bit more timeless I think.

  2. Exceptional car!

The shape of its tailgate indicates that it is a 900 NG with many of the following adjuncts 9-3. I am a real fan of this model has not yet achieved the level of popularity and notoriety than its predecessor, the 900 OG.

I could see some very prepared units dramatically rolling Kinekulle ring (Sweden) in the SAAB Festival 2007. I was fascinated.

Today I keep my 900 MY96 2.0T in fairly good condition:

I hope to continue for many years to preserve this unique model of SAAB.

    Good photographic capture.

      • Thanks again for your superb web.

Furthermore, my 9-3 Aero Convertible has less Kms. to reach 100K miles. Of course I will notice you.

        Greetings:
