I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the original Saab vs. ad campaign - understated yet super stylish Saabs featured in wonderful Nordic landscapes full of adventure, beauty and dreams. Sadly, we don't get to see what they'd have done now, but there was an original Saab vs. Artificial Intelligence ad which I couldn't resist updating with a slightly newer image variation.

I’ve taken my own 2010 Snow Silver Sportwagon, and used AI to feature it in a Nordic Winter landscape, it’s a scenario I’ve imagined a thousand times, but never got to enjoy yet. It’s not an entirely real photograph, but is a wonderful way for us all to imagine and dream, just as Saab would have wanted.

The context of the ad was to highlight Saab’s dedication to safety, real world experiences learnt from humans to then enhance the features on a Saab to achieve peerless safety, Artificial Intelligence might be wonderful at creating inspiration, but I’m glad Saab relied on reality to craft our protective Saabs.
