Saab Aeros, Refined

We all know Saabs are special, they’ve always appealed to those individuals amongst us, the ones that like to think differently.
For the past 15 years I’ve had a personal challenge to hunt out specifically the Aero models, get them fighting fit and kept
on the roads for years to come.

Originally, Aeros featured higher levels of specification, highly tuned engines and pretty special interiors,
they’ve also stood the test of time beautifully and still offer a superior driving experience to many new cars, at a fraction of the cost.

Aeroriginal looks to source only the finest Saab Aeros around, and after rigorous checks by Saab specialists
with over 30 years knowledge, we set about giving each and every one a collection of unique touches.

2009 Saab 93 Turbo X SOLD

The Saab 9-3 Turbo X is the true heir to the classic Saab Turbos of the 1970s and 1980s. It is a limited edition model and is only available in Jet Black metallic paint as an homage to the original Saab 900 Turbo. So take a good look, a car like this only comes around every thirty years.

2000 Saab 95 Aero SOLD

Owned by one of the cast of Gangs of London and her partner, this Gen 1 9-5 Aero was destined for Montenegro, but disaster stuck and a major oil pipe burst. With no time to fix it before leaving the UK, this was a Saab that needed saving. A rather special early Aero as it has a beautifully specified interior. This is my recession Aeroriginal, a carefully planned rescue and the perfect daily.

1999 Saab 93 Monte Carlo SOLD

1997 Saab 9000 Aero SOLD

The 9000 Aeros come along very rarely, and with just 2 previous owners, this was one that I really couldn’t resist. It’s taken a lot of time and effort to get it fighting fit again, but with it’s silky smooth automatic gearbox, capable 275hp and one of the finest interiors ever crafted by Saab, it’s a lovely example. According to How Many Left this is one of around 100 left in the UK.

2005 Saab 95 Aero Hirsch 305 SOLD

One of only 195 special edition Monto Carlos worldwide, this first generation 9-3 is an absolute beauty. With it’s High Output Turbo B204R T5 engine, manual gearbox and sensational form, there’s not many Saabs that can truly outshine it for style. Look inside and you’ll be treated to an almost immaculate interior with rare leather seats inspired by the legendary Saab 9000 Aero.

WIth a combination of its Smoke Beige Metallic paintwork, sand leather interior and huge factory Hirsch 305hp conversion, this Saab 9-5 Aero is one of only a handful left in the UK. The specification list is not only highly desirable, but is now also complemented by the later twin 5 spoke Hirsch alloys, new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres and a new, genuine Saab carbon dashboard.

1996 Saab 9000 Aero SOLD

2000 Saab 95 Aero SOLD

9000 Aeros are becoming increasingly rare, but then add a sublime manual gearbox, a factory fitted sunroof and not to mention Scarab Green, and you have an exceptionally desirable Saab. What’s more, over the years, these 2.3 engines have proved their reliability and longevity, covering many hundreds of thousands of miles without fuss and this particular 9000 proves that beyond doubt.

I’m really not sure where to begin with this beautiful Gen 1 Saab 9-5 Aero, it’s in an amazing colour combo of course; Scarab Green with Sand leather, it’s low miles at just 83,000 and low owners too - that’s almost unheard of, oh and it drives perfectly. What’s more, there’s virtually no rust, so why advertise as ‘spares or repair’?

2007 Saab 93 Aero Convertible Hirsch SOLD

2007 Saab 95 Aero Hirsch SOLD

The timing of this stunning Aero convertible couldn’t be more appropriate, Spring is slowly arriving, the sun is warming and the time for top down road tips is just around the corner. Another seriously rare find, this Aero comes with the gorgeous fully refurbished 19” Hirsch alloys, full 4 piece front grille, 345mm brake upgrade, Hirsch springs and a new dual stainless exhaust system together with a Turbo X diffuser. The interior is also a thing of beauty with a Hirsch Carbon dash, Nappa leather flat bottomed steering wheel, leather handles and Hirsch aluminium pedal set. It’s a 6 speed manual too, couple that with 250hp and it’s possibly one of the most icon convertibles around.

Well, this has to be a bit of a jewel, not many 9-5 Aeros were specified to this level with exceptionally rare Hirsch Performance parts. From dealership, this has the gorgeous iconic 18” 6 spoke alloys, the duel stainless full exhaust and rear diffuser, the intercooler, pipes and remap. It also has upgraded 345mm brakes, Bilstein B8 shocks and lowering springs and has just had a huge amount of work done to the interior, including carbon dashboard and door strips, new genuine Saab leather gear knob and gaiter, and an amazing Hirsch style, flat bottomed performance steering wheel in soft Nappa leather.

1999 Saab 93 Viggen Convertible SOLD

It was going to happen at some point, i’ve loved these early 9-3 convertibles for years, and I suppose the ultimate ‘must have’ is the rare Viggen. There’s a lot that make these so special, the larger 2.3 engine, the endless performance mods Saab made to enhance the offering, the bespoke Lightening Blue paintwork and even the 2 tone black and blue leather interior, but one thing’s for sure, these Viggens command almost legendary status.

2001 Saab 95 Aero Carbon Grey SOLD

Made in Sweden, the Gen 1 Saab 95 had a purity of design the later models lost a little, this particular Saab once belonged to the Chief Constable of Cumbria and had been well looked after. It’s recently had a huge amount of work carried out which has made it one of my all time favourite Saabs and one I won’t want to let go of easily. Once you read the full works list, you’ll realise why.

2002 Saab 95 Aero Sportwagon Café Racer Edition SOLD

Another first, finally I got my hands on a Saab 9-5 Aero wagon, not only that, but in one of the best colours ever; Hazelnut Metallic. Exceptional provenance and history together with low miles and a whole host of performance and aesthetic upgrades making it one of the nicest Saab’s i’ve ever built. The Café Racer Edition is complimented by a luxurious Sand leather interior and a gorgeous set of Japan Racing wheels in Matt Bronze. Perfection.

2002 Saab 93 Aero Convertible Dark Edition SOLD

And here’s another stunning Aeroriginal, a HOT Aero convertible, this one’s a rare black one, you could call it a dark edition, it has a set of 2 tone Turbo X alloys that subtly update the car to iconic levels. This Gen 1 HOT Aero with Ian Callum designed bodykit comes from a Saab family down in Cornwall, offering exceptional value for a true modern classic Saab. Get ready for the first Summer of the ‘20s.
